My Facebook memories show that last year at this time we had snow….not this year! Our children have been wearing their snowgear to protect themselves from the mud, if even wearing them at all in the 50 degree weather! Yesterday they made some surprising discoveries.

No matter the weather, we try to be outside. Mud play is so important to children’s development, you can check out many resources why at this website. https://playvolutionhq.com/mud-play-resources/ (Even though I’d rather have tons of snow this time of year for us to play in!!)
We are so blessed her at Children First that we have plenty of opportunities for the children to play in mud, and even an area on our playground called the mudkitchen, where a small stream flows through.
