Children First has an amazing team of educated, experienced, and loving educators.  The staff at Children First takes a family approach, not only in teaching but also in working with one another.  (Did you know that Miss Donna has even helped birth two of the staff members’ babies?)  We have a group of core staff who have been working 5+ years together (and a group who has been together for more than a decade!).

Children First feels very strongly about moving staff forward in their education and certifications, and we work together to support the school schedules of our student/staff every different semester.   Our staff also enroll in different trainings to keep us up to date with the latest research and teaching developments.  These trainings are in addition to the CPR training we take annually and the First Aid training we take bi-annually.

The team shares a play and nature-based philosophy.  We believe that children learn through and need a lot of outdoor play.  You will more than likely see one of the staff members barefoot in the grass, or investigating an insect that a child has found.  Teachers are just as passionate about learning all there is to know about the outdoors as the children do.
